Why Grenada grows exceptional soursop

Our soursop grows on the volcanic hillsides of Grenada, where rich soil, island sun, and generations of growing knowledge produce fruit with a deep, creamy flavour. We work with trusted Grenadian growers rather than industrial farms.

Trusted Grenadian growers

Our fruit is grown and hand-selected by small-scale Grenadian growers who have cultivated soursop for generations. We will name the specific farm and growers here as those relationships are confirmed.

We work directly with small-scale growers who pick each fruit by hand, at peak readiness — the way soursop has always been grown here.

Shipped with care

Harvested to order and shipped with care. Because this is fresh fruit, please plan to be available to receive it and ripen it at home.

Our freshness promise

This is fresh, perishable tropical fruit. Minor blemishes, surface marks, and natural softening are normal and develop as the fruit ripens. If anything is not right, contact us — we stand behind every order.

Your fruit arrives firm — that is exactly right. Move through the days below to see when it is ready.

Day 1
Beginning to Ripen

Firm to the touch with little to no aroma and bright green skin — not ready yet. Keep it at room temperature, out of direct sun, and do not refrigerate while ripening.

How to enjoy your soursop

Cut the fruit in half, scoop the soft white flesh from the skin, and separate out the black seeds. Enjoy the pulp fresh, or freeze it for smoothies.

Soursop seeds are not eaten — remove and discard the black seeds before eating or blending. The creamy flesh around them is the part you enjoy.

Cut the fruit

Slice the ripe soursop in half lengthwise on a clean board.

Open it up

Gently pull the halves apart to reveal the soft white flesh.

Remove the seeds

Lift out and discard the black seeds — they are not eaten.

Scoop the pulp

Scoop the creamy pulp away from the skin with a spoon.

Freeze for later

Freeze extra pulp in an airtight container for smoothies.

Make a smoothie

Blend pulp with banana and your milk of choice — enjoy cold.

Questions, answered honestly

Why does soursop arrive firm?

We ship soursop firm on purpose. Firm fruit travels safely and lets you ripen it at home to your preferred sweetness. It is not unripe — it is ready to ripen.

How long does it take to ripen?

Usually one to three days at room temperature, depending on the fruit and how warm your room is. It is ready when it yields to gentle pressure.

How should I store it?

Keep it at room temperature until ripe, then refrigerate and enjoy within a couple of days — or scoop and freeze the pulp.

Can I freeze the pulp?

Yes. Scoop the ripe pulp away from the skin and seeds and freeze it in an airtight container. It blends straight into smoothies.

Are blemishes normal?

Yes. Minor blemishes, surface marks, and softening spines are natural on fresh tropical fruit and develop as it ripens. They do not affect the fruit inside.

How do I know when it is ready?

Press gently — when the fruit gives like a ripe avocado or peach, the flesh inside is soft and ready to eat.
